Myoreflex therapy

Release muscular hand brakes

Myoreflex therapy was developed by Dr. Kurt Mosetter in the 1990s. It combines modern knowledge of neurophysiology with the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). He related the meridians of Chinese medicine to the anatomical muscle chains and thus developed the concept of muscle meridians. This concept enables a holistic view of complaints.

Myoreflex therapy involves the immediate release of excessive basic tension in the muscle/muscle system. The muscle insertions are treated first and foremost. After precise palpation and pressure point stimulation of such points, the tension is released after a certain time (seconds to a few minutes). A gradual manual increase in pressure at the muscle-tendon-bone junction triggers neuromuscular and neurophysiological reactions. The tone of the corresponding muscles decreases spontaneously. This simultaneously relieves the joints and soft tissue structures.

The KiD method of myoreflex therapy

This method is a special home exercise. KiD is short for strength in stretching. Here, the muscles are not stretched in isolation, but rather related muscle chains or muscle meridians are actively strengthened by stretching.

Galileo training and therapy system

The Galileo training system has its origins in space research and was initially used in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. The alternating tilting plate movement simulates the natural movement of the human gait – without causing strain on the joints and intervertebral discs. Muscles can be stimulated and strengthened as well as loosened and relaxed using special frequency settings on the tilting plate. This makes the Galileo training system the ideal complement to myoreflex therapy within my treatment. The application is suitable for children as well as for older people, for orthopaedic patients as well as competitive athletes.
