Ear acupuncture

Ear acupuncture was developed in the 1960s by the French physician Dr. Paul Nogier. Through years of empirical observation, he has discovered that illnesses can be reflected not only in the body, but also in the ear. He then developed a topographical map on which the correspondence of all joints, all organs and the entire spine can be shown in the ear. This makes it possible to specifically influence bodily and neurovegetative functions via the ear.

In addition, in recent years the treatment has been supplemented by special points of neuronal control of hormonal glands. A special feature of ear acupuncture is the insertion of permanent needles.

Cranial acupuncture

Cranial acupuncture at the Osteopathy Practice am Römer

Cranial acupuncture was developed in the 1970s by the Japanese physician Dr. Yamamoto. Each body region has a reflex zone on the skull. These zones are used to treat the musculoskeletal system, the sensory organs and the internal organs. Cranial acupuncture is a medical system that combines traditional acupuncture and western medicine.

The diagnosis is made using Japanese abdominal and neck diagnostics. After placing the respective needle, I use a control diagnosis of the reflex zone to determine whether this point is optimal for this patient. Cranial acupuncture is simple and practical to perform, as all the necessary areas of the body can be reached with the patient seated and dressed. The advantage of cranial acupuncture is that it can be combined with other methods. In my experience, myoreflex therapy has proven to be a good combination partner for cranial acupuncture.

Laser therapy

The laser’s highly energized light affects the metabolism of dysfunctional cells.

This activates the body’s own cells that are responsible for the immune defense. This has an anti-inflammatory effect and supports our organism in the regeneration and healing process.

The release of pain-inhibiting substances such as serotonin and endorphins can have a pain-relieving effect during low-level laser therapy.

An additional area of application is laser therapy in the context of ear and cranial acupuncture. Instead of acupuncture needles, the procedure can be carried out using laser light. As the therapy is painless, it can also be used to treat children.
