The forces of nature

Ayurvedic medicine is the oldest described system of medicine in the world and has extensive experience.

In Ayurvedic medicine, the imbalance of the three doshas (vata, pitta and kapha) is regarded as the direct cause of all diseases. Each dosha has certain properties and characteristics. The nature and type of the various symptoms, which are not recognized by
most people as belonging together at first glance, form a clinical picture that can be traced back to the imbalance of the dosha belonging to the patient.

One of the main reasons for an imbalance of the doshas is an unhealthy diet and lifestyle of the individual, which is referred to as Mithyaharavihara (MAV). The treatment of Mithyaharavihara consists of avoiding the cause of the disease (Nidana Parivarjana), Ayurvedic dietary therapy (Ahara), lifestyle and order therapy (Vihara) and the prescription of Ayurvedic herbal formulations (Aushadha).

The strength of Ayurvedic herbal formulas lies in the fact that they usually contain a mixture of several herbal ingredients with a long tradition of use.
